I have used Les Foggon continuously now for the best part of 10 years. The overriding reason is his reliability and above all communication. He always turns up when he says he will and always advises you of his schedule to manage your expectations.
His work is very good. Always completed in the minimum of time without fuss. He always advises of the best solution and not the most expensive solution in my experience and his rates are very fair. Just having someone so reliable and competent on hand to call is worth every penny.
Les has completed re-roofing jobs, brickwork, joinery, guttering and a whole host of construction jobs for me over the years. If he can't do something he will tell me and always endeavours to recommend someone who is equally reliable and competent. Sounds too good to be true but he's a godsend and a very nice bloke too.

Les has done a great job, We are really happy with the result and given this was completed during the Covid 19 pandemic , it just makes Les' achievements even more remarkable. Les would turn up on time without fail and working on his own, would work like a machine all day. This was a difficult time and materials were hard to come by with merchants being closed, but Les went out of his way to locate what he needed. Occasionally Les called in his supporting trades as needed, such as an Electrician, Plumber and Plasterer who all did a great job and ensured they worked socially distant at all times.. which was difficult.
Full marks to Les and his team for their commitment during a difficult few weeks. I think any less of a builder would have stopped the job!

Les replaced a large double-glazed wooden window in a 19th century cottage with a new one that matched.
He was a great communicator, prompt with appointments, and did an outstanding job. The window has now been through some heavy winds and torrential rain and is working perfectly.
When talking about the windows, I mentioned to Les a small double-glazed pane in an external door that had failed (had mist inside it). Les ordered the part and replaced this window AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
He is a craftsman who takes pride in his work.
